North-South Highway Almost Ready

The cost of the entire section is estimated at approximately $100 million

The construction of the Ashtarak-Talin section (Tranche-2) of the North-South highway is in its final stage. The main highway has been laid for 42 kilometers, with another 20 kilometers of access roads. The new highway already connects key points in the region, reducing travel time and improving transport accessibility.

As part of the project, road workers built 9 interchanges, 19 T-shaped intersections, 4 bridges, and 10 special crossings for livestock and agricultural machinery. Now, traffic on the road allows bypassing the Agarak archaeological site, preserving cultural heritage and simultaneously speeding up traffic flows.

The asphalt is laid in three layers for durability, and the cost of the entire section is estimated at approximately $100 million. It is expected that the opening of the highway will be an important step for the development of the region's economy and will increase the comfort of movement for drivers and local residents.
