The Tourism Committee of Armenia has refuted recent reports about an alleged ban on Wizz Air flights due to technical malfunctions. The agency emphasized that such publications are not true and have no official confirmation.
According to the international organization Airline Ratings, Wizz Air is among the 50 safest airlines in the world and is one of the top ten most reliable low-cost carriers. In Armenia, the company opened its 34th base on October 1, 2025, at Zvartnots Airport and continues to operate successfully.
Since its first flight in 2020, Wizz Air has carried over 2.6 million passengers and currently operates 16 routes to 9 countries, using two base aircraft. In the country, the airline remains a stable and safe carrier for tourists and business passengers.
