Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced the start of YouTube monetization testing in the country. According to him, the appearance of advertising inserts between videos means that the platform has begun activating the relevant tool, and technical testing is now underway.
The head of government noted that this is a positive signal for content creators, who will be able to earn income from their channels. He emphasized that the introduction of the monetization mechanism is an important step on Armenia's path toward integration into the global digital space.
Pashinyan also recalled YouTube's high standards for the quality of video materials and expressed hope that the new opportunity would become an incentive for the development of professional and aesthetically refined content. Earlier, Minister of High-Tech Industry Mkhitar Hayrapetyan said that a full launch of monetization is possible at the end of April to early May 2026.
