AI Conf 2026 Kicks Off in Yerevan

The Armenian capital is discussing how computing infrastructure and AI can change the country's economy and its position in the world of technology

AI Conf Armenia 2026, the country's largest artificial intelligence conference, has kicked off at Yerevan State University. The focus is on the development of AI infrastructure, scaling models using GPUs, and their impact on the economy. Organizers and participants note that this is no longer about theory, but about a practical restructuring of the technology sector.

Key guests include NVIDIA Vice President Rev Lebaredian, as well as representatives from academia and technology companies. The forum discusses the growth rate of the industry and the transition to more complex AI systems that require huge computing resources. A separate emphasis is placed on the role of the GPU as a basic element of future AI platforms.

Conference participants emphasize that AI has already become part of the economy and education, influencing key processes within the country. Yerevan State University, UATE, Krisp and YerevaNN are involved in the discussions. In total, more than 20 speakers are announced, including representatives of startups and research centers that are forming a new AI ecosystem in the region.
