Armenia's Dilijan Wins "Gold" at Global Awards

The "city within a city" project promises to transform the resort into a year-round attraction

Green Rock became a laureate of the International Architecture & Design Awards 2026, receiving a gold award for its multifunctional complex project in Dilijan. Works from 53 countries participated in the competition, and the final list included over 500 projects, which were judged by an international jury of architects and designers.

The awarded Dilijan Multifunctional Complex project implements the concept of a "city within a city." It includes a 210-room hotel, a 600-seat concert hall, a hospitality school, educational spaces, cafes, a park, a cinema, and co-working spaces. The complex is designed for year-round operation and is expected to reduce seasonal fluctuations in tourist flow while creating jobs.

The project's architecture takes into account natural constraints: terraced construction is used with minimal intervention in the landscape and the use of local materials. According to the EDGE standard, the public space will provide approximately 35% energy savings, 30% water savings, and a 39% reduction in carbon footprint, making it one of the most environmentally friendly projects in the region.
