The International Monetary Fund stated that the continuing uncertainty in the global economy requires Armenia to take further measures to strengthen economic resilience and create conditions for long-term growth. The organization noted the need to maintain a balance between public spending and fiscal stability.
According to IMF experts, the authorities should pay special attention to prioritizing budget expenditures, increasing the efficiency of public funds, as well as continuing tax reforms and improving tax administration. These measures should help finance growing budget needs without significantly increasing public debt.
The fund also supported plans for structural reforms. Key areas include diversifying exports and markets, improving the business climate, increasing corporate sector transparency, and expanding business access to finance. According to the IMF, such steps can increase the resilience of the Armenian economy to external risks and support its further development.
