Yerevan's Budget in Surplus: Revenues Exceeded Plan by Almost 10%

The city collected billions of drams more than planned in the first five months of 2026

Yerevan's own budget revenues were 9.7% higher than expected. According to David Hakobyan, acting head of the city hall's revenue accounting and collection department, as of May 31, 2026, the city treasury received 40.3 billion drams against a plan of 36.4 billion drams.

Budget execution was 109.7%, with an over-fulfillment of more than 3.5 billion drams. Compared to the same period last year, the capital's revenues increased by almost 9.9 billion drams, indicating a significant increase in city budget receipts.

According to the approved budget for 2026, Yerevan's revenues are planned at 151.5 billion drams, expenditures at 156.8 billion, with a deficit of 5.3 billion drams. At the same time, the city's own revenues are projected at 94.8 billion drams, which allows maintaining the current positive dynamics of budget execution.
