More than five international energy corporations have already expressed interest in the concession management of CJSC Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA). According to the company's interim manager, Romanos Petrosyan, potential participants are ready to negotiate with the Armenian government and submit their proposals. The names of the interested corporations are not yet disclosed, as negotiations are in a confidential stage.

In parallel, the authorities have initiated the procedure for recognizing 100% of ENA shares as an object of predominant public interest. According to the submitted draft decision, May 1, 2027, is set as the deadline for the start of the share alienation process, July 1 for the start of its implementation, and October 1, 2027, as the final date for completing the procedure. Petrosyan emphasized that the status of an object of public interest itself does not yet mean the completion of nationalization.

The next stage will be the completion of mandatory technical and institutional procedures. After the company is registered in the state register and depository, and all shares are formalized as state property, the necessary legal grounds will emerge for transferring ENA management to an international energy corporation. At the same time, as Petrosyan noted, the final terms and participants of the future concession management have not yet been determined.
