Armenia and the USA signed a joint statement on cooperation in the field of information technologies, with a special emphasis on the development of artificial intelligence. The document was signed by the Ambassador of Armenia to the USA Narek Mkrtchyan and the US Deputy Secretary of State for Economic Affairs Jacob Helberg.

According to the statement, the partnership aims to create a sustainable and innovative artificial intelligence ecosystem that should contribute to economic growth, technological development and increased economic security of both countries.

Three key areas of cooperation are highlighted separately. The first is related to the creation of a regulatory environment that supports innovation, investment and testing of AI technologies, as well as scaling solutions in this area.

The second direction involves expanding cooperation in building the infrastructure of the future – including energy resources, supply chains of critical materials, development of the semiconductor industry and training of qualified specialists.

The third element will be the active involvement of the private sector, including venture investments, joint scientific developments, creation of new generation data centers and expansion of access to computing power for artificial intelligence.
