IDBank has transferred critical infrastructure to the OVIO data center

The bank relies on local Tier III and PCI DSS facilities to improve reliability

IDBank has announced a strategic partnership with OVIO: part of the bank's highly available server infrastructure is located in Armenia's largest data center.

The goal is to increase the fault tolerance, security and uninterrupted operation of financial services. This is the bank's first large-scale step towards relying on local facilities built according to international standards.

OVIO is the only data center in the country certified with Tier III and PCI DSS. It provides power from two independent substations, multi-level physical security with biometrics, round-the-clock monitoring and full compliance with the requirements of the financial sector. OVIO CEO Hayk Faramazyan noted that the trust of banks is the highest assessment of the platform and an important precedent for the industry.

IDBank emphasizes that the reliability of IT infrastructure is the key to the security of services and the development of innovation. The partnership will allow the bank to focus on the product ecosystem, relying on a stable local infrastructure. OVIO, launched in 2024 in Abovyan, continues to expand its capacity and play the role of one of the strategic objects of the country's digital economy.
