New rules for trucks came into force in Yerevan on January 1, 2026. Temporary permits for vehicles weighing more than 3.5 tons are no longer valid during peak traffic hours - from 08:00 to 10:00 and from 17:00 to 20:00 on streets where trucks are prohibited.
The police warn drivers to strictly comply with the new rules. Violators will be brought to administrative responsibility, which will reduce road congestion and improve safety on the streets of the capital.
The changes apply to all temporary permits issued for trucks and are aimed at streamlining traffic in the city. Authorities note that control will be strengthened, and compliance with the rules will be carefully monitored in the first months of the restrictions.
