Hovhannes Avoyan, founder and CEO of Picsart, has been awarded the “Order for Services to the Fatherland”. The award was presented to him by Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan on the occasion of Republic Day.

Avoyan was recognized for his significant contribution to the development of education, science, culture, and economy in Armenia, as well as the preservation of Armenian identity. Picsart emphasized that the award was a recognition of Avoyan's entrepreneurial journey, during which he managed to transform an idea created in Armenia into a global technology company.

Picsart is a popular digital platform and mobile/web editor for creating and processing photos and videos. The service includes artificial intelligence (AI)-based tools for image generation, background removal, adding stickers, texts, and collages, as well as a social network for content sharing.

Today, Picsart products are used by billions of people worldwide, and the company itself has become one of the most well-known international technology projects created by an Armenian entrepreneur.
