The Migration Service of Armenia has introduced a procedure for issuing mobile ID cards (mID) to foreigners and refugees from Karabakh. To obtain a card, a social card and one of the following documents are required: a temporary or permanent residence permit, a special passport, or a certificate of legal residence.
For persons displaced from Karabakh, activation of an electronic signature is available using a temporary protection (refugee) certificate, which allows them to use digital services on par with other residents.
The agency notes that in most regions, the issuance of ID cards proceeds without delays, and appointment booking is possible on the same day. In Yerevan, the throughput is limited, and there is also a queue for filing a tax return.
